Lovely painting Jon.  I love how you change the colour of the grass from green to yellow to lead us to the focal point.  Just connect the focal point (the houses) with the yellow grass with a pathway to lead us all the way in.  Nothing wrong with your brushwork!

Hi, Ian! Yep, I agree - I was thinking about those points and a couple of other things - I'm going to make tha water wider with clumps of big reeds - I'll see if I can adjust the back trees at the same time - wish I'd zoomed in close. What's really disheartening me is my brushwork... anyway, cheers to you!
