I wanted to paint fast and impressionistically. Just letting go and trying to create a sense of who I sense this man is, beneath the public personae. 90 minutes later, feeling elated, I stopped.

I hope you're not tired of hearing WOW!! this is a great painting , wonderful colour and feeling on such a small scale 6X6 I mean.
