Thank you for your comments guys. Jim. The colors in the water are: cobalt blue, ultramarine, viridian, yellow ocher pale and white, mostly :) There might be a hint of transparent oxide red there also to gray it of.

This is beautiful!  I love the perspective in addition to the color.  What colors did you use in the lower left moving toward the middle -- darker blue to a light green?  They're so nice together!

I always worry about a reference photo that has too much white for me to paint, afraid that I won't be able to make it look realistic... wow you have done a great job with this - amazing.

Hi Jessica. This is about half an hour drive from Reykjavík in Iceland. The river is called Laxá í Kjós and is a big fishing river :)

This is really beautiful & dramatic - where is this?  Great movement in the water crashing on the rocks!
