Learning from Sorolla's "Niña en la playa" (girl on the beach)

It was fun trying to paint in Sorolla's style, using Richard's excellent lesson & paint-mixing explanations. This is my attempt at copying this painting from a photo I found on the internet, though just now I found an even better photo which shows the colours he used much better. Really enjoyed this lesson & learning how Sorolla painted white objects/fabrics with so many beautiful shades of colour in them.

oowha, just absolutely love this - everything about it, Jessica, it has that subtle feeling of times gone by.

Hi Jessica, wow you really got the brushwork of Sorolla down to pad!  I also love how you show the movement of the waves hitting the shore and the child´s dress.
