Enjoyed the process of eliminating many extra objects in the original photo so that I could come up with a result which would really emphasize Cotton and Wilson, the 2 beautiful poodles in the photo

I figured that it might have been commissioned after I went to your page and saw you were a full time artist. I stuck the uplight photo in for you to remember the thought as a solution to a dark area problem. I was the one who thought of the up light, and my sister in law who has delt with the problem of having really dark areas in that house never did think of it. It is just another information feather to have in your hat to help someone solve a dark room/area problem.

Hi Ro,
Actually, I meant too dark on the computer screen-
Last nighr , when I posted it, it looked so dark on my screen
the piece was commissioned and the customer has already picked it up. I appreciate your thoughts, Lee

Lee, I dont think it is too dark. The center of interest shows well. You can always hang it in a well lit spot. Barring that........When I painted the white heron for my sister in law, all during the painting process we would go hang it because the spot was so dark. I would do something, we would hang it, and I would redo as it did not show up at all. So, adjust the painting if need be after hanging. Ro

I really like this alot. Very good use of color. To me it looks like something you might see in a famous museum by some famous artist. Well done. Ro
