A Zebra's Eye (A)

This is a 16x20 inch acrylic painting on stretched canvas. It was finished with two applications of Gamvar Picture Varnish,
which gives the painting a gloss finish.
While I was working on this painting, I found out how the zebra’s stripes uniquely protect the animal from predators. During the chase, the moving stripes “Dazzle” the predator’s vision, confusing it so much that the chase is ended.
