Live Oak, Ocean Isle, Sunset, acrylic, 36x18, sold

My favorite live oak at the beach set infront of a sunset. I learned a lot and need to do more. I am a chicken when I paint. It would have been easier if I had done the basics, glazed with the sunset reds and oranges, and then added details. But it seeme to take a lot to get it the way I want it. I have also been able to see my faults better when looking at a painting on my computer. Amazing how that works for me.

Yes, the lighting is off and Richard did a photoshop of this for me and it really looked great and helped. I fight to be bolder with intensity and colors some of the time. I also have trouble limiting the detail. Maybe I will grow up soon! :)

Deb, this is so good and so beautiful! I wish I have this on the wall of my living room :). A little bit more contrast on the tree trunk maybe?...

hmm, not sure. There is an RSS feed available in the right hand column. I'm not sure what content that would send you though.

PS. How do I know when someone else has posted a new painting???

Thanks, Richard. The grapevine is still sitting hidden away in the house. Waiting for the wine dinner at the Cafe to bring it out of hiding. One painting that sold was the beach with clouds at sunset. Don't believe that I posted the other, a rusty looking car silk painting. Kind of sad rigth now because this month is so hecktic that I may not be able to paint. :c Blessings! Deb

:-) Not a problem. Hey congratulations on your sales! I love your grapevine painting - thought that one would sell pretty quickly. High five!
