18x18inch canvas acrylic
I posted this painting yesterday then the more I looked at it the more glaring mistakes I saw so had to take it away and tweak it. Still shouldn't have the chooks so far down the bottom and central but am over this one now! was trying to use edges. Will now wait for our master teachers vidio and do another!!

Really like this one, especially the colours on your shed. I love the sharp contrast of the house edges! Your chickens in the foreground are great. I like the way the are eyeing up the viewer.

Yes Richaed that's what one gets when they attempt to copy RR's chooks and forget about the lighting in their own painting. Thank you for your comments :)

Nice one Diane, LOVE the soft vs sharp edges! I'm not believing the lighting on the chickens as much as I am on the house.

You have blown me away! Your brush work is loose, and wonderful. What I like best is your  lighting.  The house is beautiful.......................smiles to you : ))

I like it. Good typical country scene and it takes me back to my childhood when it was my job to collect the eggs.

I like this. Your eye moves right around the composition - the main chicken may be low and central but I find myself quickly moving on to the white and black chicken and then the woodpile, house, sky and back to the chickens. Nice work.

Thanks for the comments guys and Sharon I have been looking at the edge of the barn and wondering if I should soften it. Now after your comment will give it a go :) As for the gamut I was AWOL from last workshop so will have to catch up about this Gamut Mask and see what it is all about. Your suggestions are most welcom otherwise would not learn and progress. Thank you :):)

I think you did a fine job on this.  I haven't taken any workshops yet, so have no idea what "edges" is all about.  I am still learning how to work with acrylics--not my favorite medium--dries to quickly.

I have a comment... not sure of the straight edge in the back of the barn, it is calling attention too much.  But the chickens are nice....don't forget to use the gamut... hope you don't mind suggestions!  Love the barn.
