Thank you for your kind comments Pauline. Richard's tutorial made it look so easy to paint a kingfisher but I really struggled with it, and after having spent so long on the detailed head, eye and beak I got a bit despondent with how it was going and rushed the rest. Having now seen the other paintings, yours included, I can see so many faults with mine. But it's all a good learning experience for a beginner like me!

lovely painting Kerrie, I like the attention to detail in your kingfishers head, eye and beak and that little fishy looks like he knows his time is up, bless!
