Thank you Mario! This was inspired by great painters. It's great to have access to many wonderful cityscapes these days. An endless pool of ideas and demonstrators for my own limitations.

Thank you Lawrence!
I see your point. The road markings and the two houses in the center line up, the house on the very left not.
It's probably not a good idea to have everything lined up to one vanishing point. But the yellow house is too close to being lined up and looks wronger the longer i look.

I like this very much Thomas. I'm glad to see it's not a rainy evening (as good as many of those rainy evening city paintings are, I feel I have seen rather too many of them).

I was just about to go, fully satisfied, when I got this odd feeling about the alignment-perspective of the buildings on the left. The road markings tell me it's a straight road but the front building appears to be going around a corner. But still an excellent painting.

I love Tibor Nagy's work (his style was the inspiration behind my "Mountain Stream")

Janet, thanks! I do know mike Barr's paintings and like them a lot! They certainly also have an influence on my recent paintings.

Thomas, you might like Mike Barr, a Melbourne artist who likes painting moody, rainy Melbourne streetscapes.

Manneherrin, foreboding and uninviting stores - exactly the way i see the town i live in! (Lots of great sites close by though) I see your point some bold reds on the left will improve the painting. Thanks a lot!
The style of this is inspired by some fantastic townscapes of Tibor Nagy.

I love the concept and your style is amazing! It seems a little out of balance to my eye. The store looks foreboding and uninviting. There is so much red in the lights I would like to see maybe some red flecks on the left side? Maybe create a store sign in that dark patch on the storefront with some red in it?
