Painted mainly with ultramarine blue, burnt sienna & white, with a little cad. yellow, orange & red & a tiny bit of naples yellow (similar to the palette we used when we painted sunsets in the workshops).
I used a photo reference with the kind permission of my photographer friend, Kate Giryes. We often have these very orange sunsets.
30 cm x 40 cm, water soluble oils on canvas

This is a very dramatical painting. As Ann mentioned, the composition , the colour and details are all very well done. The ripples are so realistic.  Supper Painting, I echo what Ian said.
