Oils 40x30cm (16x12'') on MDF board.
Tried to paint the scene following Richard's instructions. Didn't really succeed in making it simpler, but it is what has come out...It's also darker than what I expected it to be!!!!
I've used an oil which I have never used before. Decided to experiment... 'chia seed oil' is what I used. It's theoretically a very healthy oil which can cure diseases, but it was given to me by a friend who used to take it and said it was so horrible that she wouldn't take it any longer. As it has expired, I decided to recycle it...:) !! I found out that it makes oils dry much faster than linseed oil, which is what I generally use.

Thank you!!! I'll try to do that Jessica! Joy, Linda, thanks! It really was a challenge. I remembered one of the workshops, W28, but I'm still not confident enough to change a scene so much. I see it is still quite dark now, but while painting it, thought it was really light...!!!
What a beautiful scene, Silvana - I love the way you've brought out the light & added colour to the grass & water & the composition is so good! Maybe the small mass of trees in the background on the right and the shadow of the big tree could be lightened a little?
