Justine, no black. The backdrop was a dark grey/green fabric and my palette was cad lemon, cad yellow, cad orange, cad red, alizarin, ultramarine, viridian and titanium white.

Nice one.  Is there black in the background I am just trying to workout how to get these backgrounds more lively and get the right value in them.
