#13 of 365 Paintings in 365 Days

I painted most of the day today, so finished 2 larger daily paintings. I also have another one completed from yesterday, that was a commission, so I guess I am ahead a bit; which is good, you never know when you have to take a day away from the studio.

Learning points:
1. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds; I think I finger painted this one more than used a brush! I had a photo ref to do this from and I did not like the clouds in the image, so I struggled with it a bit.
2. Atmospheric Perspective...really trying to get that...it is so hard for me to paint that loose.
3. Mixing greys.
4. Learning when to stop and take a break LOL!

5. Underpainting in complimentary colors.

I am glad that I decided to look at your paintings!  Very inspiring... I have been to Monument Valley and have been wanting to paint from photo references myself.  Good job, I think the sky looks very realistic...
