Maria, this is really well done, and I like it a lot. I found it very interesting trying to determine if the land was 1) flat, 2) going up hill, or 3) going down hill. I probally would never even paid it any mind, but I have spent the summer in the mountains of Colorado where, while we were driving along a narrow mountain road, I happened to look out the car window to see the land going down at a very steep angle. I could not remember seeing a painting indicating the land going "down" from the front of the painting so I really looked hard at this situation. I took some photos, but none really showed up as "going down". Since so little of the tops of your trees showed, this same thought crossed my mind. Have you noticed such a scene before? I ask Gail (a friend of mine who commented on this painting) and we discussed this type painting a little but nothing decided or settled. LOL You know, just something else to try to figure out! Ro

Your bold use of color really makes this sparkle and shine. :-))
