This is a piece I began months ago in oil. It languished in my studio for months hidden away on the back of one of my drawing boards. I rediscovered it recently and decided to take it to a done, but in pastel.

Strong composition works beautifully with your soft rendition of the pot, flowers, and window. Love your soft muted colors! I just sketched a piece very similar to this for the "Let's Paint New Mexico" challenge, Was going to do it in watercolor, but after looking at yours...maybe pastel?! Really like your work, and now I don't feel so discouraged flitting from paste to watercolor to oils!
Michael, Robyn, and any else I haven't acknowledged, Thanks so much.
Beautiful piece, Rick. Your palette speaks of another time, outside of the rush and stress of today's overly bright and brittle world.
Darya,
Thanks so much for taking the time to look and comment.
Mario, Thank you.
Your pastels are enchanting -- so much light and warmth and beauty!
I like it, I see as watercolor, oil, pastel, light and dark are perfect.
Ningning,
