Terry, your offer is just to kind, however, I have just done a book called Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - I posted some of my drawings yesterday. I am trying so very hard to stay focused and not get side tracked (very easy to do). I want to devote all my time to becoming a colorist landscape artist. I sometimes shake my head at myself because at this time I dont want to put a building, a person, or a animal in my paintings. JUST landscapes. LOL If it is not to much trouble you might attatch the pdf to my old work e-mail. I only use it to send photos as it is in outlook and works so much better than yahoo. roena@premierappraisals.us I can look at the animal drawings on that one. Thanks, Ro

Pretty funny Terry, While you are running your international corporations I am looking an the canvas (in Forest Light), and have no clue how to paint this forest scene, I just started throwing paint on. Those background trees were total random messy strokes. I quit when I thought to myself, "That is messy enough - nature is messy". LOL I did not see a PDF as there was only a box with a red X that would not open. I am always amazed at other peoples drawings! Ro I have recently learned to tone my backgrounds too. I am not sure which I like the best, dark blue, raw sienna thick and darker, or raw sienna thin and lighter. What colors do you prefer?

I've had a positive response to this landscape. Must be the way to go. Sunrise or sunset, contrast, keyed up colour, long shadows, thick paint on dark coloured tonal under painting, distant haze and something to relate the size of things to each other, just to mention a few. Bit like managing an international corporation considering the number of instantaneous operations. I do like your animals and your paintings are just charming. Great job. Do look at the animal drawings in this PDF you may appreciate them, Terry

Very pretty. I am really drawn to paintings with outstanding color and some type of light effect. Nice. Ro

Thanks Elizabeth, I think I felt a bit surreal at the time. I took a photo of the local lookout as I was going for a walk to the coffee shop down the street to meet a plein air painting pal. He's79, 3 years older than I.

It was early and any time I painted there before with the group it was mid day or later. I was surprised by the beautiful morning back light. It has been raining here a lot so painting from digital photos in the studio with a larger palette has been a pleasant alternative. I like your drawing. I have included a drawing collection for you, Terry
