Thank you Nancy and everyone for the comments--appreciate your looking.
Thanks. When I see it online, I see all the stuff I need to fix...but it has potential and maybe it could be really fabulous. Must fix that sky! (smile) So many things to paint.
Lovely painting Jan. Love you rolling hills and soft colours. Great painting.
Hi Silvana, Jim & Linda. Yes, it is a volcano and a live one. Hopefully it won't blow like St. Helens or we be in big trouble around these parts, especially Hood River. I initially labored over this for 3 hours...scraped it down and was ready to go home as it was so hot and windy. Then I just decided to give it one more go. What the heck, I could scrape it down again. That's kind of why the sky is pretty gray, I actually didn't lay it in again and an activated sky, like Michael Severin did in his painting, with the broken colors would work well. Thanks for looking and commenting. Wish I had more time to read and look at everyone's stuff tonight, but got to get to bed and ready for work tomorrow. (Linda, have fun painting your Matterhorn.)
Fascinating and beautiful!
Mt Hood is a volcano, isn't it? Beautiful!
