I went on a workshop with South Africa artist Peter Hall, who I really admire. I started a painting from a reference and didn't like it but when I started scraping it back and suddenly saw this scene in my mind. I still want to work on the water, but for now this is it.

I do not perceive the truth about that, I mean the good representation of moving water.really i don't see deep.           I see the rocks under the water..I think an exellent job..

Mario... well that is the point that I am stuggling with. If the water is running quickly then one would assume that it is deep, but in my mind it isn't that deep... so now I have to work out some way of making it look fairly shallow. I wish a had a picture to work with it would make it a lot easier :o)

Mario if you mean  palette knife?.... yes very much so. The original painting was guite thick, so when I scraped it off, I simply put it straight back on again which made these really neat rocks.
