My first Yellow Rose....

Oils on textured board. 24x30 cm.
Now, this was a challenge.... I was getting quite at ease with landscapes....this tumbled me over...Nice Workshop though, and for sure, it should be the first flower of many.... practise is the key...andI'll try my best to stick to that!!!! Comments and critiques welcome!!

Maybe I would like to see a bit more of the stem at the base of the rose leading off into the background but the is just a personal thing. Really really nice. Very accomplished.
