Pastel 15x20"
a favourite stretch of pathway near the house. The painting isn't quite as intense as this - couldn't quite get it to match!

Just delightful! The warm/cool vibration is a treat.  I assume the yellow/orange bits are the underpainting showing through?  I don't do pastels, so I'm not up with the technique. You make me want to try a strong colour underpainting with oils.  It works so well at killing the green overload that often plagues foliage heavy scenes.  Well done!

Your painting makes me smile.  It is so alive with color and that is why it caught my eye.  Hope you create many more wonderful paintings. dor:))

I love the colors. Paths are so soothing.

With your artist licence you can do whatever you like, this is awesome and even less intense it's still great.

Hi Sheila,

I just love this painting! I love the way it draws you to the light. I also love your bold use of color for the light apearing through the trees. Beautifully done!  :-))
