Thanks Patrick. I pretty much grew up of the canal as my parents have anarrowboat. I'm from a small village. Ear Wolverhampton originally so spent years boating round canals in brum and surrounding areas. I have to paint my parents boat yet but have to finish my current piece first. I'm working on a Persian inspired painting for my friend but it's so complicated its taking forever!

Thanks Debbie. As you can see I got it great in the foreground but completely lost it for the buildings and tiny bit of sky in the background. This is based on an old palette knife painting of Harley's, I think maybe it was early eightys because I have been to Gas Street Basin and it has changed quite a bit as its in Birmingham so it's now surrounded by all kinds of modern buildings including a huge BT tower!
