Excellent! LOL I still have 1/2 bag of dry dog food left and we are leaving soon. We need to head to the beach an try for more gull pic. One can never take to many photos. /// We were going on a birding trip today. Great weather and I had checked the tide tables for the perfect time to be at a favorite spot. (Excitment) Would you believe after all the planning, driving the distance to go there, parked the car, walk down the trail going to the special spot.....it was closed for repair! Bummer! I said Shoot! So we turned the day into a "photo shoot" and I took another 200 ++ photos! LOL

Thanks Lyndon and Roena, I'm glad you like this one as it is one of my favourites also. It's a huge 100 yr. old farm bequeathed to the council complete with all the old equipment and turned into a park not far from me. I haden't attempted a large painting 14"x36" outdoors before and it took 2 days to finish. I remember a teacher once told me that beginers never leave enough foreground and this was all foreground so I was anxious to see if it worked. The largest brush I had was a No.12 otherwise I could have finished earlier using a 1" brush. I let the brush stroke direction follow the contour of the ground and since I was facing west and the field had been mown then there was tonal variation as the ground rose and fell and as it was a long painting it showed the tonal vaiation in the sky left to right was the opposite to that on the ground. It sort of painted itself, due to the right conditions. Paddocks always have nice colour variations don't they, due to their different uses, Terry

That is a lovely painting with a very tranquil feel to it. Really like the colours!
