Comment by Donna Spears Lauzon on November 16, 2013 at 7:56: It is a method I learned from Richard Mckinley but you need to use paper that can take liquid. I use sanded Wallis I hate left over oil paint so you can take it ( without white ) and do a loose block in in oils and paint thinner. I used burnt sienna and UB for this one. The oils drip into each other creating a cool effect and threading. Let dry overnight and start in with your pastels. I have a few I did posted here with using this method. Try it.
