Hi Shelly, thank you for your comment. I see your point about getting rid of the bridge, but I am doing a series  of local landscapes. The bridge is the landmark of the park.  Without it, it would be just a landscape of anywhere, so it is a kind of symbol for the location of the painting. For people who knows the park it can connect them to the painting. So I think I will retouch it to make it more realistic.

Hi Xiao,  Beautiful handling of the light.  This has a very painterly feel.....but if it were mine I think I would just eliminate the bridge because it doesn't add anything to the overall beauty of the painting.....just my opinion.  Food for thought.

Hi Craig, thank you for liking my painting. The manmade structure is supposed to be an overhead bridge crossing the river. My first plein air painting in this park is all about the bridge you can take a look. It is a very narrow bridge that only allow one person to pass though.  I don't want to emphasize the bridge here so I simplified it, but It made the bridge looked like a oil pipe isn't it? May be I should add some vertical lines to imply the other side of the bridge?  Thank you for pointing it out.

Hi Xiao , I like your painting , can I ask what is the manmade structure in it?

Hi Silvana, thank you for looking into my paintings. I think I am a fast painter.  This one took me about 2 hours at the site, but I added some touches on the river reflections back at home. Most of time when I do plein air, it always something bothering me when I come home. It is hard not to retouch it to make it better :)
