I think if she's offering that's a great opportunity because it's true, there's nothing like working from life. The only thing is that modelling is very hard work for her! So maybe you could begin with some short poses with her wearing a robe or wrap so she's not completely nude until you both feel comfortable with the situation. I think once you start painting you'll forget your fear : )

Oh, that is why. I realy think it proved that good art is from life.  There is a girl friend of me keep asking me to paint her nude. As I am Chinese, I felt scared .  She is still waiting for me to say yes.  After I overcome my fear, I may try to paint her. You are real an artist.

Casey and Tony, thank you. I belong to an arts club where we have untutored sessions with excellent models. This pose was 2hrs a week for four weeks so in that time I was able to do this sketch, several drawings and a more 'finished' painting. Here I wanted to keep it loose and capture the feeling of sleepy warmth.
