So I am a complete beginner at this. I have enjoyed art since I was a child. When I was young and carefree and had nothing but time, I would draw,paint and create for endless hours. Unfortunately, the real world set in and my creative side has taken a backseat to motherhood, family and career. My wonderful husband (who is much more artistically talented than myself) has encouraged me to explore art once again. We are both doing this workshop and enjoying some quiet time in the basement painting, once the kiddo's are asleep.

 

My goal for this piece was a simple one, to do it. As you can see, I achieved my goal. Perhaps next workshop I will set a loftier goal. It was fun to do. I could critique this all day, but I will leave that other to do. I ask for honest suggestions on things such as value and composition. I appreciate all the feedback I can get.
