I don’t see this as a mistake; this shadow gives an element of mystery: may be there is a branch above or another tree that we don’t see... In short, it makes the imagination work… ;-))

Thanks ! it is funny when I look now after few days I see some mistakes - for ex. this second shadow should not be there - missing connection with a tree...

Hi great job on your tree and painting . May need a little more warmth in grasses or maybe push one part of the painting to make a point of focus

I know it is a beautiful clear cold day. It is a beautiful  bare tree.    I like your choice of colors and brush work very much.

Thanks Mary and John. Yes I agree with you Mary - If I make same again I would take care to have more clean edges and some color places better resolved..Problems arised when I have to go back to repaint some backward planes (sky ...) . But it was great to do that task..Nice Workshop we have!!!
