Great work Susan. Wonderful light. Very appropriate for the Border Art Prize. I look forward to seeing it at the Tweed Gallery. The moss on the roots might benefit from a muted green glaze so the moss is not as vibrant as the leaves.

I've been fiddling around with this painting of a group of 2000 year old Antarctic Beech trees for some time.  I think it must be just about time to stop.  I'll have to sit down and study it over a glass or two of wine.   Please let me know of anything that strikes you as wrong/distracting/irritating.  I'm thinking of entering it in the Border Art Prize next month, so constructive criticism is more than welcome.
