This was a great excercise - I learned a lot from doing this.
I was dissappointed I could not crop the photo,I will use square boards in future!!!!

You did so well of those textures on the post and also on the bird by using warm and cool colour contrast . The bird seems just stand in front of me thinking. Your light effect is good too. The contrast is subtle but effecient. I love this painting.
