Thanks Susan!   I have been misting, probably not frequently enough.  Just bought one tube the other day of the Golden...will have to transition over!

Thanks, Candi. I use a patio side table with a clear tempered glass top (I painted the underside a neutral gray) as a palette and I have a mister that keeps the paints moist without watering them down. On a hot day, I may spray every couple of minutes, especially the small piles of paint that I've mixed. On a day where I have to have a fan on, I spray, do a couple of brush strokes, spray and repeat! Of course, I live on Cape Cod where we have lots of humidity. You live near the desert where the air is dry, don't you? I imagine that would suck the moisture right out of those paints. Have you tried Golden open paints? I've left them for a day or two right out on my palette and they stay nice and workable. I usually add a little bit of regular acrylic paint to them because their color seems to be a little diluted.

Susan, really like this rusty old truck, the grill and head lights are exceptional, and your foliage is so soft and muted.  Really good job!!!  Don't know how you do this in acrylics.  The one I am working on now is taking me forever, cause my paint keeps drying.  I'm frantic to get the lid off my second color, so the first one i squeezed out doesn't dry!!!
