Oils 30x40 cm. This is how the area where I live looked like last week... terrible desolation...
I'd really like some feedback on my painting and how could I improve it...I feel I need some basics... I'm ALL EARS and EYES!!! Thanks in advance to all my artist friends!!!

Linda, Susan, THANKS!! Thank you Charles with all those interesting options. Incredibly, I finally have a portable Photoshop version. Now, it's not thateasy to use it... so I am trying tolearn in the little free time I've got! Te ones who use it make it SO simple!!!! But I have just seen the main tools... no idea how to change colours yet nor anything of the sort.... But I suppose it is a matter of time...

This is a good painting as is.  Again, if you make any change, the change should be subtle tinkering and nothing that takes away from the overall mood and atmosphere.  IF you were to add some wires (not boards for sure), the key would be only adding a HINT, you would not want them to be too pronounced or to regimented (too straight, too many or connected all the way from left to right) as to stop the viewer from receding in the background.  Several ways to test alternatives without touching the painting: (1) print and markup a copy of the photo of the painting using either a graphite pencil or watercolor pencil, (2) if you have access to Photoshop, GIMP or Paint open the image and markup the image (remember save as new photo do you don't lose the original), or (3) using tracing paper and the photo, put the tracing paper over the photo and sketch out some alternatives.  If you find something you like then you can modify the painting; if you don't leave it alone.  Hope this helps.

:) Thanks Michael, Candi, Jon, Charles!!!! Thanks a million for the input and encouragement!!!! Charles,I really wondered what to do with thewires... they cannot be seen in the original... and I thought that if I added them I would block the view towards the back...!

Ditto to what others have said.  You could have left out some posts on either side or modified the values and reflections of them and the gate.  Or, add a hint of a wires connecting the posts.  But those changes would be tinkering around the edges.  Good use of a limited palette.
