Thank you Renate! This is looking out my porch towards our barn (on right). Being on the porch was the only way I could do anything plein aire without freezing. Even though the grass was still green, it was very COLD! I really do like working in watercolors. Each one turns out differently than expected! WALDA

Nice to see a water color painting in this album! Like this one quite a bit. Great landscape beneath the interesting sky! Very modernistic and yet harmonious at the same time!

Thank you Ningning for your comments. My teacher for watercolor says to "just keep trying" and paint lots so that is what I am doing. And it is what I take out west to paint with as acrylics just dry too fast to paint with!

Walda, I do not know how to paint watercolour as I tried and failed of contral those color water, they run everywhere. I like this work as it has a very good control of the colours.  I enjoy the total impression of the colour harmony and those well expressed details. Very nicely done!

Yes, we have camped at Lake Pleasant 2 or 3 times.  Very nice spot.  You must be coming in an RV.  We've also stayed at Alamo Park which is out in the middle of no where but the bass and crappie fish are great.  Now we live full time in our 5th wheel in a small town called Meadview.  It is about 1/2 hour from the Grand Canyon Skywalk.  We get cold nights but in the 50s and 60s during the middle part of the day and lots of sun.  I will look forward to seeing some paintings you do while in Arizona.  I've been trying to paint canyons but nothing has turned out great YET!

Walda, We live in Arizona, the high desert where we've experienced a cold month.  You are probably heading to the Phoenix area.  Yes, you will have a good time painting there.  Monday we leave for a month's stay in Hawaii where our daughter and family live.  So I'll be painting with granddaughters!  Merry Christmas!

Hi, Linda! Thanks. i just packed my watercolors for the trip to AZ. When i travel i do mostly watercolors and am determined to master them. But, at any rate, I do enjoy them & their portability. i'm looking forward to sitting outside & painting the mountains!

This is very nice watercolor painting Walda!  I've been trying watercolor some lately so I know it is not easy!  Good for you!
