Thank you everyone for your comments and yes, Jennifer, the dock is a bit too bright. I kept thinking I wanted it to stop the eye from wondering off the page to the left but it does need to be toned down. thanks. WALDA

I like the way the bg fades but still gives the impression of activity. The water looks like it is moving up and down with the activity.too.
I do feel the jetty rather overwhelms the boat though.
