Thanks Richard, I really appreciate your input. I had tried to put more warm colors in middle ground tree and grass on left but stupidly got hung up on the fact that I did not see any warm colors in foreground of picture. Some how I could not come up with anything to add in foreground. I love the white beach and have live by one that I still miss, so I did not want to change to a beachy beige, where I could have more easily added warm colors. Stubbornness can ruin many things. I will continue to work on it, it's an obvious thing that I should have fixed, it's not like I didn't know from your teaching many times before. I added a better color representation of this painting, except that I never do feel I capture all the colors well. Thanks again I really value your workshops and gift for teaching. Barbara
Nice design Barbara. I would look at getting some warm colours in there too - it's all cool at the moment.
Guomundur, Thanks that means a lot to me coming from you. You are so productive and create such wonderful moods.
That's what we are all striving for. Pure art.
Ann, Thanks, I did under paint with purple and then glazed the cliff on R with a bluish darker gray.
I like the movement in the rock area left foreground. Did you underpaint it purple first ? Mine is under painted purple with the large areas sketched in. I hope to work on it this week. Happy painting Ann
