This took about 3 - 4 hours. Though, in fact I was trying to slow down - and could slow down some more by the looks of it. I asked for 120 euros - but it didn't sell ;(

Silvana, its 45 cm x 60 cm . I had a number of sizes with me. I should have had the house small and painted a sky-oriented painting (sunrise !? ;) )
Laura - missed your comment - sorry. Well, I just aim to paint the main big shapes - I soon cover the canvas like that!
Anne, they have asked me to put it in an exhibition they're having - a glimmer of hope? ....
Yeah, I noticed that - I was deliberately graying down the greens (with browns/reds) - a new development for me (to be restrained?!). I saw your "Oranges" one - nice - do more plein air ones, please!
It looks great, Jon. It should have sold.
It has a kind of restrained feeling to it. Not ostentatious. Really nice.
I just posted the similar composition picture I told you of. "Last of the Oranges" It was the colors, curving path, and the central orange wall framed left and right by foliage that made me think of the similarity. Mine, however, is not restrained at all, especially in the saturated chroma's.
People are fickle when it comes to buying ! Very impressed with this plein air and the time you completed it in.
I will never finish this in 3 - 4 hours. It is very nice!
How big is it Jon?
