Great job, Lanny. I had the same trouble with too much foreground. It is all a puzzle, isn't it?. I like the 3D effect. The darker foreground leading into the light really draws us in. I also really do like your loose brush work.

Lanny, this is a very nice one. I like your value, colour , light and shape, they are all good and correct. The only thing if I were you , I will retouch the red crwon of the chicken at front, it is, to me, too big and the second from the right , her crown is too long, in my view. My favorate ones are the one on the right side and that white one. Very good job.

Lovely shed and chooks.  Love the colours, the brushwork and the level of detail (not too much).  I like the way you've lost the edges of the shed and  the details within the shed.  I just wonder about the bottom 20% of the painting though - the foreground does give a sense of depth, and I like the darkness, but maybe it could be cropped down a bit?

Lanny wHEN i LOOK AT THE EFFORTS OF ALL THESE CLEVER PAINTERS ON THIS SITE IT IS ALWAYS SUCH AN INPIRATION TO ME. I love the vibrancy and your restraint of detail. You have certainly managed through edges and light to take the eye through your picture. Great to be your friend :)
