Justine, Your painting is very good, clean and clear. I like your impressive and intensive colours and their combination. I also enjoy the simplification of your interpretation of the objects and your brush work. Please forgive my ignorace, Can you tell me what is that bottle for? I think the red part is the base, is it ? Li
Thanks Deodanda - has a quick squiz at your landscapes beautiful. Dorian thankyou - that is a Granny Smith Australias own. Thanks for the condolences on my orange's plight Patricia he now rests in the big compost heap in the backyard to be reincarnated one day as a turnip or maybe a parsnip.
Oh that apple is so Delicious, but I think it is a Granny Smith maybe? Beautiful painting Justine. I especially like your table and cloth.........oh I just read the comment below and I am LOL............smiles : ))
Anne,
My condolences on the death of your orange... :)))
Thanks Anne. Only a little disappointed by my srewed up perspective on the glass bottle and a more netural background would of helped, the utramarine needs to be pretty saturated to sit back. Oh yes and thought I painted to much grey above right of the leaves should of left that brighter for more depth. Anyways always learning
Love your lively brush work and the light in this painting
Thanks partricia it was fun to try these things out. The complementary thing just happened which was a great thing. My orange died before I got to paint it so made it an apple.
I like this very much, I especially like your contrast of values and also the use of complementary colors. Well done!!
