Amazing working of edges creates a harmony in this piece. A melodic juxtaposition of hard and soft edges leads my eye. I want that in my painting so much but just can't seem to really grasp it. Love that little cactus too. Your detail seems so light and effortless.

Your painting illustrates the color perspective rule perfectly. A fantastic way of showing the tonal values.. This painting is a strong base for me to a correct approatch for any kind of landscape. When I am looking to your painting I have the feeling that I can paint myself similar landscape not only Grand Canyon but any other kind of landscape. This painting is itself a lesson if one looks at it having in mind that it illustrates the know-how in painting. George
