Nope not a self portrait...this is Jody Hale and her horse Ringo.  I had the pleasure of meeting both last year on Christmas eve.

Peter....this is a oil painting. It is a 30 x 40 oil painting..probably one of my favorites that I have painted so far.  The original photograph was taken by a rodeo photographer.  I happened to post a pic of the paint on a barrel racer website and the girl in the painting saw it...wanted it...and now has it hanging in her living room.  I painted this March-April 2009. I had not even been painting for a year.
