Phalaenopsis Orchid by Sharon Repple 4" x 12" x 1 1/2" acrylic I finished this orchid this evening. I paint on Wednesday afternoon with a great group of ladies in my neighborhood. Such fun to paint with other artists.

Richard, Jane, Ruby, Andreas and Jessica, you comments are greatly appreciated. When I painted this, I almost decided not to do paint the varigated lines on the petals because I wasn't sure I wanted to do that much detail. I am so glad I pushed myself. I believe the lines and shadows allowed the depth to be created.
Very nice!
Nice work Sharon. I am busy trying to paint one of my Phals, not an easy job for sure.

Wonderful! The petals look velvety!
Thank you Silvana, sure would be nice to paint with other "Complete Artists" guess we will have to be satisfied with posting our paintings and helping each other online.

Thanks Michael, Cristina and Jon. I had fun painting this one.
Good depth/3D/volume feel
