You are very adventurous with Corel. This dog was done with Pastel the old fashoned way before I had Corel.

3 of my dogs were done with Corel and were well received.

The one of the very futuristic bus with a great globe behind it was also done in Corel.

Nice touch and flourish with the pastel here Trevor. Subtle colour changes are impressive. I like to paint from photos as well as you can see from my mugshot. I key up the colour, tone etc. with Corel Photo XP, cut and paste bits to get composition, fix lens distortion.  I still pencil it in on canvas. A throwback from my younger days when I couldn't afford paint. I sometimes stick a photo of a completely different subject (computer print) of a paint style technique to follow, googled of course.
