Pickin by Sharon Repple 11 x 14 acrylic My husband restores antique clocks so we are on the road a lot looking for clocks for him to restore. I'm always searching for new scenes with great light while we travel about and I found this one near I-75 and Micanopy, FL.

My goodness, you are fast.  Of course, with experience comes faster results!  I would take for-ever to do something like this.  I'm also not as organized as I should be.  I just jump in and as they say..'shoot from the hip'...ha! You really have talent!

Cheryl, thank you.  I spent about 3 hours the first day drawing and laying in the base colors and shapes and then another 3 or 4 hours the next day finishing the painting.  My reference photo had an old car in the barn but I decided to place a tractor instead so that took a little longer to research and paint.  My painting buddies say I am a fast painter.

Really pretty setting; great as always!  How long did it take you to do this?  Or if you're like me, I stop and start so much there's no real way for me to tell!
