This lighthouse, on Mount Desert Island Maine, was one, my wife and I visited on a trip a few years ago. unfortunately, the weather was heavy overcast, fog and rain for most of our trip, as a result all of my photographs were dark and dreary! So this painting is based on a combination of my images and public domain images found on the internet.
The painting is 11x14 inches and is acrylic paint on 140 lb watercolor paper, which was bonded to a plywood panel. It was finished with several coats of gloss acrylic medium/varnish.

Nice job...this is a beautiful spot. (I moved from Maine to Alaska a few years ago) This brings back nice memories because this view of the light house was the very first watercolor painting that I tried. I still remember it so clearly and fondly. ( =
