9x12. it was overcast day. It looks very flat. It needs a lot of work to survive it.

I think you have the makings of something lovely here Laura, I think you would be right to take out the warmth in the background foliage and the large brushstrokes are trying to get more attention than your interesting focal point. Try that and see what happens, it may be all you need to do. Great Plein air work and gorgeous colours here :-}}

Hi Ann, Thank you so much for your encouragement! I looked everywhere is gray at overcast day. I could make foreground warmer,colorful and background cooler, also push background back little more. I am glad to try different subject though. Ann, this is with POPs group. It paint out every Tuesday. I know it is not suitable schedule for you, but you can come anytime if you are available.
Your colors are nice and bright. Its a complicated scene to paint but good for you to try.
