Linda, following your request for a critique,  I think you have a good start, but could work  on these things. Hope this helps.

- There are in my view too many values, which weaken the drawing. Suggest to try to have no more than 3 to 5

- the whole drawing appears rather flat, because the value contrast  is isufficient, e.g. on the shadow side of the face and the nexk.

- There are tangents where the head,  side and bottom of the dress  touch the edges. Suggest to avoid..

- Some edges are rather hard. For example on the chin, which gives the appearance of a beard..

- The shadow on the neck under the chin seems rather light.

of six , two hour portrait drawing sessions.
