Aprox. 15 x 13 watercolor on 300 lb. Arches cold pressed - a portrait of my sister Peggy Ann who died on April 12, 2013, after a 12 year battle with cancer. Her faith was in God, and she was at peace. I had captured this expression on her face with my cell phone camera several years ago - and just had to try to do a nice portrait with it.

There is so much emotion here! It's clear that you know her well. This is my favorite of all your paintings! Did you cry when you were painting? I always cry when I paint something or someone I love. I'm sorry for your loss, Mary.
