I did a cloud painting once. I had the cloud detailed and sketched on the canvas. What I learned was as soon as I painted over a line......it was gone.......I soon found I was totally lost. After that, I started drawing the lines, and then painting in my darks....at least the darks....so that when I was painting and covered up the line I could see that the next area was a shadow or what ever. Helped a lot. Even if you just did a wash of the painting to indicate where everything goes first......keep from getting lost. Ro

Thank you Ro :)
i don't hate it, i couldn't part with it, Sometimes you see a painting before it's done in your head, and then it's finished, and it's not what you wanted. BUT, this is how we learn. My preliminary sketch was more accurate, then as i painted and lost my lines the bone structure in the faces and hands started falling apart a little bit.

but i still like it just the same :)

this one turned out ok colour wise for me, but i find the drawing is weak which kind of ruined it for me. I was hoping for more.
