Hi Rex
Nice to meet you and I welcome you To The Complete Artist. The only live parrots I have ever seen were in "jail" a cage. I have never even seen a picture of one flying. Happy Painting and Smiles to you :-)
Hi Dorian! Thanks for taking an interest in my work :-) Yes it is a species of parrot! The rainbow lorikeet has a specialized brush-tipped tongue for feeding on nectar of various blossoms and soft fruits, preferably berries. Common on the East coast of Australia. In the last 50 years I have witnessed it spread from what was thought to be a group of escaped caged birds to thousands of them in the suburbs of Western Australia.
Is that a Parrot flying? Smiles :-)
