Sounds nice. William Eustice was the artist I was thinking of.

As far as I am aware it was a lady who painted it, and to my knowldged was in the last 20 years.(it was given to the Motel lodgings couple as a gift for engagement or wedding I think)  A landscape with a predominate tree focal, the leaf appeared to hang down so to speak with branch nib at top and painted the landscape across the width.

No name of the artist>? you mentioned>? Did you try googling him?

Was the leaf you saw a modern one or an old painting. I discovered an artist artist from the 1800's who painted on gum leaves. I'd love to see one of his originals.

The commission was wonderful. It's nice to know the next 16 paintings have already sold. I've had a couple of other smaller commissions too which is good.

Yes I'm finding it hard to price considering frame cost, altho framing myself I possibly could successfully and alot cheaper, but thats more time taken away from painting or other arts/crafts I'm also immersed in. I was fortunate enough to see a leaf painting in Leeman on the West Coast of Western Australia during our painting group retreat we have each year...the gum leaf would have been over 8inches in length(not sure which gum has those) beautifully painted and framed. Congratulations on your Canadian Commission))

I'm charging $55 (framed) for the paintings at the moment but I might have to increase the price depending on the cost of the frames. I had a really good deal on frames but I'm almost out of stock. I'm sourcing more now. This is the 8th painting for a commission of 16 paintings that are heading over to Canada.

If I have to post them to the buyer there would be a postage and handling cost on top of that.
